After more than 20 years riding around London as a cycle courier five or six days a week in the rain, wind, snow and heat, i sometimes think i know the city so well. Then out of the blue i discover some hidden corner that somehow i had missed, and realise that there will always be something new to photograph here. Or i see a familiar building or street in a different light, or from a slightly different viewpoint, and suddenly a new image of a scene i have passed a hundred times or more is presented to me. When not riding my bike at work i like nothing better than to explore on foot - surely the best way to truly see your surroundings - and take my time to visit parts of town further afield that i don't usually go to in my job. Some images in this gallery are of places, sights and views that will be familiar to many people, but others are from corners of this fascinating city that are only known to the locals of those areas.
